  1. There are several areas I would like the Marylebone Forum to address:
    1. WCC’s current approach to tall and taller builders – in particular the sudden rush to add extra stories to new builds so that they are higher than the surrounding buildings. Many locals are against this in Knox St, Wyndham St, York St & Upper Montagu St. Our councillors appear to either agree with this policy and or not be prepared to represent their electorate. We are currently facing this issue with a proposed demolition and rebuild of Northwest House 119-127 Marylebone Road and another proposal – The Hub by Premier Inn at 191 Old Marylebone Rd is also much higher than the building it is replacing.
    2. Making our area greener (literally). I would like to see further schemes developed & or encouraged to plant and maintain green spaces within the area, including encouraging blocks & homes to plant up their basement spaces, further street tree planting, green walls & green roofs. Also businesses & restaurants to be encouraged to plant and maintain window boxes or tubs. There is a lot that could be done.
    3. Air quality – more pressure needs to be placed on TFL, City Hall, London Assembly and the mayor to clean up the roads. The idling scheme is good but not implemented – including school buses left idling.
    4. Street cleanliness. There has been massive cuts and despite constant complaints to the council by different people, little has been done to clean up rubbish left on streets, food waste etc.
